Within the class of special effects it is very important that the safety precautions associated with it are taken seriously. They are as follows:
Make sure that long hair is tied back so that it does not get into and contaminate products.
Make sure that masks are worn over the face when using sprays such as fixing sprays, as this will prevent the inhalation of chemicals. Also remember to use the sprays by an open window.
Make sure that the silicone A and B are not mixed. If this happens the products can harden and mean that they are unusable.
To prevent contamination use different gloves and spatulas when handling the two silicones.
Some products do not mix well with the silicones such as garlic and aloe vera, therefore it is important that they do not come into contact when working in rooms such as the kitchen.
It is important not to wear valuable clothes and jewellery when working with the silicone as they can be easily ruined by the chemicals.
Also remember to keep the kit clean so that the products last as long as possible.
