Face Chart For My Human Hybrid

This is the face chart that I created for my human hybrid. This face chart shows the colours and basic application of my prosthetics. I decided early on that I wanted to use bright colours in my design to reflect real fish in colour and bioluminescence. I was also really inspired by the work of Dany Sanz for Makeup Forever. I really want to try to capture the blending and bright colours. Many of the fish that I have been studying are very bright and I wanted to reflect that in my hybrid. I found it quite tricky to blend the colours well on the paper but think that you can see the effect that I am trying to achieve. I was worried that that choice of allover colour would create quite a flat canvas so I have added black detailing around the eyes to give back some definition. I also decided to put some black flicks above the eyes to reflect the shape of a fish's tail and, once again, add definition. I also wanted to be able to cover the eyebrows but thought that with a light colour they would still show through, so decided that black would be best. I carried on the colour down the neck as that is where the gills are situated. I want to colour my prosthetics with the blending but will add deeper tones of the colours in the deepest parts of the prosthetic to add definition to them and make them stand out from the face. As well as keeping the colour going down the neck, I will also be carrying it on into the hair  to reflect the seamless characterisation and overall look of my hybrid character. I have coloured the lips in red and over lined them to create the effect of a large fish mouth. I think that the face chart does not really capture the look that I am trying to achieve as it was difficult to blend and create the 3D effect of my prosthetics. I also think that looking at my face chart I am currently concerned that my hybrid will not look fish like enough. I however feel that once it is applied on the face it will work well. I have a chance to practise the look before my assessment so can alter it before if necessary.
